Social life changes faster and faster and becomes increasingly differentiated. The church and the church communities must react to this challenge. Church development describes and shapes the conditions which people can experience faith in. In this, it induces a dialogue about the concretization of the biblical mission, links it with the local situation and involves the church members. Considerations in terms of contents and structure are combined and implemented in a target-oriented scheme.
